Some Animations

I recently started playing around with the video camera here.To be more specific its time lapse feature.Since a lot of the flowers you see in and around the pond open during the daylight hours and close again at night I thought I'd try to catch the blooming on tape.So I set up the camera turned on the time lapse feature and the results are below. All the images were taped over a period of of approx. two hours. In real time this resulted on average a two minute video of the bloom.I then converted the video to still images on the computer and made some animated gifs from them. The file sizes are listed next to the names.A couple are large and may take a while to load with a slow connection.

A water hyacinth.50k
A lily.241k
Another lily.198k

These are my first attempts at something like this and hope to refine my technique some over time. The video was transferred to computer via a product called Snappy. This allows you to connect a VCR or video camera directly to your computer and capture images from the tape.I then converted the images to GIF format and then used one of the many animation programs out there to create the images.
